At WigCupid, our #1 priority is the health and safety of our customers. It is perfectly normal to have hesitations around sampling wigs that others may have tried on. However, we wouldn't have entered into this business if we didn't think there was a sanitary way to make this all work. Let us walk through the steps we take to make sure that you're safe.
1. We send wig caps with all of our wigs, which you should always wear to make sure that your scalp is protected. This is the same precaution that would be taken if you were to go to a physical retail wig store.
2. All of our wigs still have price tags attached, which means that they are unlikely to be worn in public or outside of sampling purposes. If a price tag is ruined or detached, we do not accept the wig.
3. Lice can only live on human heads, not synthetic wigs like ours. To keep our wigs fresh, we gently wash them with cold water and wig shampoo. After a final inspection, if we believe the wig is not close to its original condition, we will dispose of it.
Regarding the COVID-19 pandemic...
1. There is a very small chance for coronavirus to be transmitted via packages or mail carriers, according to a senior scholar at Johns Hopkins University (source). The illness is mostly transmitted by droplets from an infected person's sneeze or cough.
